| CANNELTON, IN - Memorial events are planed this weekend to recall the day 50 years ago when a plane plummeted nose first into a southern Indiana bean field, killing all 63 people onboard. A stone monument has long marked the site near the Ohio River town of Cannelton where a Northwest Airlines plane crashed in 1960 as it headed from Chicago to Miami. |
